The Sounds of Music is a free, intergenerational, interactive, and collaborative concert put on by Berkshire Children’s Chorus and Berkshire Concert Choir. The concert program takes its inspiration from Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music, using the beloved musical as a springboard to explore music from around the globe, including Cecilia McDowall’s cantata, Everyday Wonders: The Girl from Aleppo and Johannes Brahms’ Liebeslieder Walzer. A singalong of hits from The Sound of Music will directly engage the audience in music making, creating a connection that bridges the usual divide between performers and audience members. Tickets are free but we encourage people to reserve seats through Eventbrite. See berkshirechildrenschorus.org in April for Eventbrite details. Donations welcome at the door.
