Berkshire South's mission is to build a sense of community and common purpose throughout the region, and to enhance the recreational, educational, cultural, health and social well-being of the residents of the Southern Berkshires. The facilities include a fully equipped fitness center and an aquatics center with a six-lane pool, a handicap lift, locker rooms, saunas, a warm therapy pool, and a splash pad. They also have an auditorium for events and programs, gymnasium, arts & craft room, meeting rooms, lounge, and public hiking trails.

Berkshire South offers a wide range of community programs, certifications, and events along with a year-round early education and childcare program. BSRCC is a non-sectarian, nonprofit organization open to all, regardless of ability to pay.
